| OK, so I finally broke down after much research and estimating and bought a new car! It's a 2004 Suzuki Verona!
I am thouroughly pleased at this point! It's fully loaded! It even has seat heaters and who needs those in the mid south?

| TRICIA'S TEXAN SHINDIG - Watch out!
Last Saturday was Tricia's (one of my wonderful roommates) birthday so a bunch of us surprised her at a "Texas" restaurant. Tricia, being a Texan native, had a great time and fit right in. I'll have to admit, we did pull off the western wear pretty well. Not that I was worried, I mean hey, we do live in Nashville and although it's a mile or two from Texas.....we do have a lot of fashion role models to follow! We decided we must look like the next big country music group or something as everyone was stopping to stare and asking if they could take our picture!! I could see it now.........the Mason-Dixon Sweethearts. :) I mean, we'd be no Allison Kraus and Union Station, but then WHO could compare with them? | | |
| SO, now that I have had a few days to cope and overcome the sadness of what could be called one of the tragedies of this month, I think I can finally talk about it.
HERMAN went to fish heaven last Thursday. My pet for over a year, Herman was the best goldfish a pet owner could hope for. And where it's not necessarily as sad as the passing of say a.....dog or cat.....it's still sad. For Herman, although I couldn't pet or play with him, touched a part of my heart. For those of you who met Herman, you can testify that he was no ordinary fish. He'd swim to toward me whenever I walked in the room as if to say, "Hey Selena, how was your day?". Perhaps some would say what he really meant was "Feed me" or "Clean my bowl", but I know otherwise.
All that to say, I really miss him. I don't know why, but I do. (SIGH!) I'm just glad that I have the support of my roommates who know all too well the sadness I'm experiencing. When their fish PANTS passed on, it was not easy, but they made it through and so will I! Herman would want that!
